[Swe] Det gamla stationshuset i Björköby längs med sträckan Nässjö-Vetlanda byggdes 1913 till invigningen av järnvägen 1914. Placeringen kan se lite konstig ut då det ligger utanför själva samhället. I boken "Boken om Björkö socken" kan man läsa följande: "När järnvägen Nässjö-Sävsjöström planerades och byggdes, bedömdes Österkorsberga och Björköby, som platser där större stationssamhällen skulle växa upp. Av den anledningen satsade man här på större stationshus. Man hade helst velat förlägga stationshuset i Björköby i närheten av kyrkan, alltså mitt i byn. Då det emellertid krävdes ett visst minimiavstånd mellan stationerna, blev Björköby station inte särskilt centralt placerad utan byggdes skild från övrig bebyggelse på en bergsknalle i vildmossen, som tidigare kallats Pimsö." Detta namn återfinns än idag, ex. Pimpsövägen som är vägen som leder fram till stationshuset.

Stationshuset är idag privatägt, så vänligen respektera tomtgränsen.
Börja vid referenspunkten ”Stig”, längs en av de gamla infarterna, så behöver du inte heller beträda spårområdet.

[Eng] The old train station in Björköby along the Nässjö-Vetlanda track was built in 1913, in time for the opening of the railway in 1914. The location might seem a bit odd, located outside of the main village. In the book "Boken om Björkö socken" you can read about a requirement for a minimum distance between stations, so rather than building the station near the church which was the preferred location, it was placed outside of the village on a hill of the wild bog, which was earlier called Pimsö. We can still find this name today, e.g. the road leading up to the station is called Pimpsövägen.

The old station is now privately owned, please respect this when visiting.
Please start at the 'Trail' reference point, which is the old road to the storage houses. By doing so there is no need to come close to the railway track.

The cache is located where the old storage houses used to be.
