Along the coastal path from Garlieston bay to Rigg bay, you will pass through what the youngest Towcester Pirate always calls 'Dead Tree Forest' thanks to all the standing, dead wood in this area. But which tree?.
The cache is located just off the path, in an area where the tidal waters will not reach the hiding place.
The cache is not hidden far from the path and is located not far from the gate across the path - this information is provided so as to help contain your search and not to see you roaming too far into the land owned by Galloway House Estate.
The cache is a plastic petling tube with log book and pencil. Inside there is a ready made geocache container for the first to find it :)
