You'll get bonus points for talking like a pirate while hunting this treasure. This is another tribute to one of the greatest pirates ever: One Eyed Willy... on Talk Like A Pirate Day. He was a pivotal character in one of my favorite cfhildhood movies titled Goonies. If you haven't seen it, watch it.
The posted coordinates are not your actual start point. There are also multiple stages involved in finding this cache, so be sure to allot a good amount of time. There will be a fairly substantial amount of walking. I won't give you an exact number to avoid accidentally slipping you some extra hints. You'll have to work for this one. ;) I will say that it will be miles round trip, but almost all of it will be paved along side Oceanview Blvd. To retrieve the cache you will need to go out on the rocks. You'll find out exactly where by solving the following puzzles. Walking and climbing on the rocks can be EXTREMELY TREACHEROUS depending on the tides and the time of year. I recommend setting aside an afternoon and working as a team, or at the very least let someone know where you're going. Right. Enough with the introductions... on with the clues.
STAGE 1; The first stage is figuring out your actual start point. Your clue for this leg is the image below.
N36°3A.BCC' W121°5D.ECF' Checksum = 32

STAGE 2: The next stage involves you traveling West from the start point until you reach a covered bench. Each clue will fill in a digit to complete your next coordinates for stage 3. These clues are not in the order that you will find them. However, they are all between your start coordinates and the covered bench. All clues will be visible from the road, but you'll likely miss them if you're driving or if you take the random dirt paths between each parking lot. If you stick to the road, all your clues will be on the ocean side.
Next stage coordinates: N36°3A.BCD' W121°5E.FGH' Checksum = 46
A = Number of large round pylon supports for the bridge leading to the covered bench.
B = Number of parking lots on the way that allow overnight parking.
C = Look for the capital of Colorado on a plaque along your route. This number appears 3 times on said plaque.
D = Number of short beams (about the length of a man's arm) on the cover of the covered bench.
E = Locate a plaque dedicated to Fray Juan (last name redacted). This number is equal to how many decades Fray Juan lived.
F = The number of houses on the right along your route.
Please DO NOT APPROACH these houses. They do not have any clues and their only involvement is observation from the road. I do not in any way ask or require you to walk or drive on to these private properties.
G = Locate two stone pillars, One named "Rocky Shores" and the other "Asilomar". You'll find a numbered post nearby with two digits on it. Add them together to get a single digit number.
H = I've digitally removed the words from this sign. Find it, and count the number of letters in the last word.

STAGE 3: Print out this map and bring it with you.

Now it's talk like a pirate time! To reach the end, just read this rhyme:
You have your location, now take a seat.
From here on out, you'd best not dress neat.
You're taking in the sights, wondering where this goes.
Find the highest peak, it looks like grandpa's nose.
Climb this monument, but stand NorthEast of this point.
You're on the last leg, and this is the knee joint.
Now take out your map, and X marks the spot.
Look through the cradle, and Willy's treasure you've got.
Under the water, a bridge the waves hide.
You'll find a way, when the water subsides.
Scamper across, if you think yourself brave.
The end of your journey, is in a small cave
Well, that's it geocachers. I hope to hear of all your adventures on this one. Please bring a pen for the log. Take your time, enjoy the sights, and good hunting!
