Geocache Description:

Come join with me to celebrate International EarthCache day October 12.

Tiperary Springs

This year marks 10 years of EarthCaches, so I thought I would hold an event close to my Hepburn Springs Blowhole EarthCache GC59NA2. After a feed and some good company those who wish can partake in a pleasant walk, run or jog to the EarthCache along sailors Creek. The first section from Tipperary Springs to Bryces Flat is 3.3 kilometres and should take 1 hour or so. The next section from Bryces Flat to The Blowhole is 1.7 kilometres and should take 30 minutes at a moderate pace. The walk itself is mostly level to gently undulating and is quite easy walking. For those who don’t wish to walk that is fine also it is only a short drive to the Blowhole.

Where? Tipperary Springs Picnic ground Daylesford. There are BBQs, Water, Picnic tables and Toilets on site. (BYO wood for fire pits)

When? Sunday October 12 12:00 am to 2:00 pm.  Walk will commence at 2:00 pm

The event will include a trading table for anyone looking to send off a travel bug/coin. Or those that can help the TB’s fulfil their mission. A couple FTF prizes to choose from decided by raffle, make sure to get your name in!

Please bring some fire wood for the BBQ and a fold up table (if convenient) as there are only a few picnic tables. I will bring a bit of firewood in case there is a shortage.

I will also available at the Blowhole after the walk to transport people back to the Tipperary Springs picnic ground.

I hope to see you there.
