Geocache Description:

Fairly easy Park and Grab!  The entrance to a neighborhood, so watch out for coming and going muggles! You are looking for a small ammo container. Please re-hide just like you find it!

Meadowlark Hill is a neighborhood just west of Borger, TX on TX HWY 136. The first houses in Meadowlark Hill were built in the early 1950's.  By the mid 1960's there were around 30 houses in this Rural neighborhood. Now in 2014 this addition has grown to over 100 houses.

Across the highway from Meadowlark Hill was the Bunavista Drive In Theatre.  During the 1960's and until the early 1980's this Drive In was open 7 days a week and did a thriving business,  Now the only thing left of this once popular landmark is the Ticket Booth and the structure that housed the consession stand, the projection booth, and an alternate viewing area complete with velveteen theater seats. The screen, the most prominent part of any Drive In, burned down in July of 2002.

The name of this Geocache comes from one day when my wife and I were pulling into Meadowlark with our grandson Isaac (He is now our son!) to pay a visit to my Mother who still lives in the house my Dad built for our family back in 1956.  As we approached the neighborhood we asked Isaac (he was about 3 1/2 then) if he remembered where Great Grandmother Mimi lived.  He replied in that matter-of-fact voice that only a 3 1/2 year old can use: "Yes, she lives at the Name Rocks."  My wife and I looked at each other, the same question on our minds, "What are the Name Rocks?" Then as we entered the neighborhood he said "There, there are the Name Rocks!"  Pointing, of course at the large limestone sign at the front of the addition and we understood!  I'm sure you will too!

You are looking for a small ammo container.  Don’t forget to sign the log.
