I can only describe the cache as a large test tube, camouflaged, with a screw-top lid.
it has been placed here on the day of Wellington Carnival which has been a tradition in the town since 1887
more info about the carnival can be found here: http://www.wellingtoncarnival.org.uk/history.html
The ever growing Cades Farm development almost stretches this far, yet on the other side of the tracks the green and pleasant fields will lead you on a lovely walk, out to Nynehead, if you so wish.
Many, many of us that have lived or grown up in Wellington remember this bridge as a gateway to long days of freedom in the countryside so close to home.
Have you noticed the circular sign, on the railway with a W?
No prizes for knowing what it stands for!
