KFC - Kid Friendly Caches. I have young children who enjoy geocaching so I decided to start the KFC series for my littlest cachers. They will also have lots of cool SWAG because, as my wife says, toddlers are hoarders and love little trinkets. Feel free to add to the series!
This cache takes its name from a classic. The story is about a family that runs aground and has to survive. They build a large tree house, complete with a library. They also use the carpentry tools and local resources to build mechanical contraptions. Just as this story isn't for really little kids, neither is this cache. It might require a little climbing.
This cache is located along the Linear Trail in Erwin. If you park at the given coordinates and walk along the trail you will pass 2 caches on your way here. It's a great spot for a walk.
You can seek this cache day or night. There are lights along the trail.
Please park in designated parking areas along the trail.
Like I said above, you will need to do a little climbing for this one.
