Geocache Description:

「O(尾)」 is a tail.
「Kubi(首)」 is a neck.

The opinion that there was a two theory for the name of "Okubi(尾首)" and referred one to "the tail neck of the castle" from the topography of offense and defense of Yamashiro(山城) in the Middle Ages.
It is the opinion which came to be called "the pond of the neck washing" from reason, there when I wash a neck of Shirai Fusatane (白井房胤) which I beat it by the fight with the Ouchi, Mori forces one more, and suicide with a sword did in a pond and buried it.

The plant growing thick in this pond is good for the clear stream, and, with a kind of seen moss, it is named Japanese name "Hitsujigoke(ヒツジゴケ)", and it seems to be unusual to grow in colonies in the spring pond of the low land.
