Hi

While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for the cache owner and block other cachers from placing a cache in the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can’t do so forever.

Nothing seems to happen with this cache listing, so it is now archived, so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if it hasn’t been done already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

Geocaches which have not been maintained or the owner has not responded will not be taken out of the archive

(This reviewer note is in English so non-Norwegian cache owners, geocachers and cache reviewers can understand what it says.)

Thanks for your understanding,

Geocache Description:

A traditional geocache at a very nice viewpoint after a steep ascent!

This is a traditional geocache on the summit of the 1500 m Muen mountain in Rondane national park in Norway. Before logging the cache you'll have to climb the mountain which takes about 45 to 60 minutes. The first part of the trail may be a little muddy but the second half is where things get really interesting: you'll need to pick your way over and around rocks and boulders. Here you'll need to be sure footed and may sometimes even have to use your hands. We do not recommend climbing Muen mountain in adverse weather conditions such as rain, snow or thick fog. Wear sturdy boots and a warm jacket. ATTENTION: To find the cache there is no need to dismantle any of the numerous stone piles created by hikers on the summit. The cache is located on the ground level (but may be hidden in a crevice between some stones ;-). Have fun!! And enjoy the spectacular view.
