.#13 in the series is "Sparkles". Yes, we are Girl Scouts. We love to be outdoors. We love to hike, camp, geocache, and be active. But that doesn't mean we don't love sparkle and glitz and bling too! We love glamour! This letterbox represents that girls can do anything they want. One minute we can be out hiking in the mud in grungy clothes and boots ... and 2 hours later we can be having a formal tea in dresses and heels. That's part of the fun of being a Girl Scout. We get to do all sorts of activities ... spa parties and fishing, canoeing and sewing, pottery and painting. Whether it is clean and fancy or messy and informal, we love it all!
Note: Best approach to cache is parking at the church and walking through the woods. Although the parking is only 200 feet from the cache, you will climb 70 feet in elevation up a fairly steep hill and need to cross over a little drainage ditch.
In letterboxing, you are supposed to use clues to help find the letterbox. If you have any questions about letterboxing and how it differs from geocaching, feel free to contact us. Letterboxing is a Brownie badge so we are trying to get more letterboxes in the area for local Brownies to find. Our clues will be simple so everyone can figure them out and the area Brownies can easily earn their badges.
Clue: find "IV" "elephant's noses"
Good luck!
