You are looking for a medium sized geocache in a public library. However, first you must find a film canister across the street in the park, which will tell you which one of the 10,000 books is the book safe.
The building is wheelchair accessible. This cache will be available during all seasons.
Hours of access are:
Monday: 10am-6pm; Tuesday: 10am-6pm; Wednesday 10am-9pm; Thursday:10am-6pm; Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday 12pm-5pm.
This public library is within Assiniboia's Prince of Wales Centre. Theatre, Library, Community college, Community Arts stage, curling rink and many other functions. Feel free to check out the community centre while you are there.
Also on the kitty corner to the NE corner of the building, there is another significant point of interest to Assiniboia. The Shurniak Art Gallery is a free private art collection. The owner was a businessman who travelled around the world collecting different pieces of art. If you are not in a hurry, take some time to wander through.
