The Eiger is one of the worlds most notorious peaks, located in the Bernese Alps standing at 3,970 meters above sea level still demands serious respect, first climbed in 1858 via the west ridge, The north face remained unclimbed until 1938. It has claimed many lives.
Fortunately to qualify for the challenged cache you don't have to climb the Eiger, or any mountain for that matter but it will help. You have to have found ten or less Earthcaches that when the elevation is added up it is equal to or more than the Eiger (3,970m),
When logging please list up to 10 earthcaches you have found which qualify you for this cache.
How to find the elevation of a cache:
GPS – Using your GPS unit, put the little pointer on the map next to the selected cache and you should be able to see the elevation. Others will display the altitude of the cache once selected. You can also note your altitude while at the cache through one of the other functions on your GPS.
Geocaching Maps– Using the Ordnance Survey map on the map page you will see brown contour lines that will usually get you to within +/- 100 feet in elevation.
GSAK - Select the Elevation.gsk macro on any database within GSAK and this will automatically include the elevation of each Cache onto the database.
Project GC - Select the Cache Stats tab, then Top Elevation, you can then use the filter to select United Kingdom and you have a list of the highest UK caches with the elevation in metres next to each cache.
There is now a very handy challenge checker on project GC

Run the checker and copy and paste the script with your log.
