Pelorus Street Reserve is a nice little park in Welcome Bay, very close to my home. Since we came to Tauranga, we have spent quite a bit of time here walking the dog and hanging out at the playground.
Bring a picnic and bring the kids, they will enjoy climbing on the playground equipment and can help you answer some of the questions. There is even a gas BBQ provided for your enjoyment.
