Watch out for those Gators! Traditional Cache

You don't have to get out of your boat, but do watch for gators!  You do need a boat (a kayak or canoe is probably best) to reach this one. Please be respectful of the wildlife and the vegetation along the shore line.

The Silver River is one of the most beautiful spring fed rivers in Central Florida.  This cache is not far from the main spring where the river is born.  Abundant wildlife and beautiful wilderness make this a worthwhile trip.  You can rent a kayak at Silver Springs State Park and paddle as little or as much as you like. There is a shuttle service available to return back up river against the 3-5 mile current.  Oh, and don't feed the monkeys!
