LoRita's Open Door is named in Memory of LoRita Holland of Waverly. She owned a bookstore in the middle of town for many years. When she moved her store location she took with her the front door as a decoration in what she called her "play house." The door was pink in color and her husband brought that door to this location after LoRita died in 2005. Rita, as everyone called her, had a big personality and was loved by everyone and it seems like "everyone" knew her. She made every person she knew feel like they were her best friend.”
