On this day in 1923 The Walt Disney Company is founded by Walt Disney and his brother, Roy Disney. The Disney brothers, not to be confused with the Warner brothers, were born in Chicago, where all good things in life originate (see the CO's Chicago sports themed caches if you want to learn more). Roy retired after the opening of Disney World, deciding to, well do this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0MK7qz13bU That really was a mickey mouse level effort there. Sorry.
In 1995 The Million Man March occured in Washington, D.C. The traffic backup is still making its way down I-95.
In 1781 George Washington captured Yorktown from the British. 12 years later Marie Antoinette was guillotined. So this has been an up and down day historically to say the least.
You're looking for a camo'd vitamin jar (push down and turn the lid) There's room for some small swag, and a log, BYOP!. Please hide this as well or better than you found it to prolong its life. I'm not sure about night caching or hunting concerns. I didn't see any information on either, however the cacher should always cache responsibly.
For more info on the history or future of this area, visit the nearby caches of Future Neabsco Trail or better yet Tayloe's Iron Works...you won't be disappointed.
Lastly, feel free to share other tidbits on this day in history, including your own. Is it your birthday, anniversary, cool caching experience?
Congrats to lwillie63 for an adventurous FTF!
