LARGE CONTAINER WITH TREASURE AND LOG. BRING SOMETHING TO TRADE
A historical marker used to stand here until 1978 but was removed when the parking lot was built. There also was a large knotty white oak tree that was the only tree standing here at this time. It was known as OLD NOT KNOT because the knots of the tree were large hollow spaces where the natives hid small treasures for their children to find. It was here that the young Cassandra Paddington stuck her hand in one of the holes hoping to find a hidden treasure and was stung by bees. Her hand was swollen so fast and so big that she could not pull it out of the hole in the tree and she had to stay there for three days until the swelling went down and she could remove it. She swore never to return to this tree and she never did. One of her daughters, many years later came back to this spot and placed a cache here in a safe place for kids to find treasure.
Park and Grab. You probably will drive up and think you already know where this one must be. Then you will wonder how can I reach up there.
If you look for something to stand on, you may just have found the cache.
