Willow Ponds are a popular local fishing spot, that isn't widely known to many people from outside of town. They are taken care of and maintained by employees from Newmont Mining Corp, and are regularly stocked with trout by NDOW. Great place to slip away to for a peaceful day of fishing or relaxing by the water.
This cache was placed at a favorite local fishing spot to hopefully get more people out to explore the many fun recreational opportunities around Battle Mountain. Willow Ponds are owned by Newmont Mining Corp. and they do a fantastic job of maintaining the area so everyone can continue to enjoy them. The container is a green plastic ammo can filled with lots of great fishing oriented items.
