Geocache Description:

TSUTSUJIGAOKA means “The hill of Azalea”. However, here is very popular as cherry-bloom viewing. In the end of seventeenth century, Date Tsunamura(1659-1719) who was the local lord of Sendai-han, planted many cherry trees and opened to the public. The park was called “Sakura no Baba”.

In 1902, the park was opened as TSUSTUJIGAOKA PARK of Miyagi Prefecture.
