It marks the 50th birthday of Lake Burley Griffin Sea Scouts in 2014 (Hall opposite). The sea scout group was started the same year that Lake Burley Griffin was opened for business. So as long as the Lake has existed, there have been scouts from our Group sailing, paddling and having adventures on it and caring for it. May this continue ad infinitum.
