On this 25-acre community farm, residents of Holyoke reconnect with their agricultural roots and with one of the city's most magnificent natural features, the Connecticut River. While particpants in Nuestras Raices's farmer training program grow food and raise livestock, visitors of all ages can enjoy this urban oasis by taking part in one of the property's many public programs, educational tours, and community events. In addition to the rich farmland, Land of Providence also supports diverse and important floodplain forests and wetlands. Look out for deer or fox while you explore the paths and fields. Watch hawks as they scan the ground below for rodents and other small mammals. You might even see a bald eagle flying along the river!
