Geocache Description:

This story takes place in Koh Lipe; one of the nicest islands I've seen in my life.

It's located in the Adang archipelago of the Andaman sea (close to the Malaysia-Thailand border), and its name means "Paper Island" in the local Chao Leh language.

It's a small paradise on earth where you can really appreciate your luck to be alive.

So if you've never been there, don't hesitate any longer... come and admire its magnificent turquoise waters and its fine sand by yourself!

The crazy adventures of Captain Usopp

Second volume - The old hermit

Sorry...

I'm still writing the story!

But if you already want to try to find this cache, here are all the informations you need:

And always remember that the hermit would never use the digit 9 because he really doesn't like it...
It's a cursed digit for him!

First step

To start, follow the initial coordinates.

Once on site, with your feet on the burning sand, you should face Koh Adang floating over the turquoise Andaman sea.

Then, on your right, you should see the remains of an old pontoon.

Put your bathing suit and swim along the pontoon until you see the last arch, lying on the sand, under water.
Only the first concrete arches are still standing, the other ones have fallen over time...

In the middle of this arch you will see a tire; this is where the old hermit has decided to hide the code which will allow you to find and open his treasure.

So now, don't be affraid... take a deep breathe and dive!

But be carreful as it's said that some morays and big sharks are living in the surrounding area!

NB: Inside the tire you'll find a small green box. Please, don't try to pull it out! Just twist it to open it, then take what's inside (a red box and a metal plate) and close it. After this, note all the informations you need for the next step (don't forget anything... especially the colors!) and put the things back inside the green box. Thank you!

Second step

For this step, your goal will be to find the hermit's retreat, where the treasure is hidden.

The old man is now deceased, but the local people, the Chao Leh, remember to see him fishing everyday on his makeshift boat.

When the sun was setting, he was always heading to Koh Adang, to a very specific beach.

This beach is the one of the Ranger Station (see the waypoints section for more informations), just in front of where you start your adventure.

The Chao Leh people say that they could always see him walking in the jungle with a torch until he reaches the Chado Cliff trailhead (see the waypoints section for more informations), then nothing...!

Having completed the first step, you're now in possession of a list of digits.

To find where the treasure is really hidden, you'll have to solve this riddle:

Multiply all the digits together.
(for exemple if your digits are 2, 4 and 6, you'll have to calculate 2x4x6...)

We will call R the result of this calculation.

Here are the coordinates of the treasure:

N 06°30.(R-146)
E 099°18.(R-298)

If the coordinates are correct, you'll be rewarded with a picture of the hermit's retreat

Third and last step

Once you've found the treasure you'll have to solve this last riddle:

Increasing
Decreasing

Now, don't forget to read the hints if you need more help and it only remains for me to tell you...
  Good luck geocachers!

PS : It's always pleasant to see a picture (or more) in the logs...
