Geocache Description:

This cache is placed in a residential area on a fairly busy country road - although there are not many walkers passing by just the occasional horses!

The village of Merstone was until 50 years ago a quiet hamlet with a few cottages, farms and a railway junction.  Today it is mainly a retirement and residential area.  The railway station is still there but is now a feature on the Sandown to Newport cycle track.

The cache is in a Clip-top box on the boundary of a home but it can be easily reached without accessing any private property -  the residents of the adjacent property are aware of the cache's home!

Parking is permitted on the road by the cache - but be aware the road can be quite busy and there are buses every 30 mins in each direction so try not to cause any obstruction!

The cache name is a clue to its location!
