This cache is located in the Boston Pond Nature Area. The Boston Pond Nature Area (http://keweenawlandtrust.org/special-boston-pond.php) was created in 2008 and is owned by the Keweenaw Land Trust. The public is welcome to visit year-round for low-impact enjoyment. Universally accessible trails lead from the parking area out to a pavilion and floating boardwalk on Boston Pond. Other hiking trails explore the woods and wetlands surrounding the Pond.
This geocache will introduce you to many of the area’s large glacial erratics – boulders that were left here by retreating glaciers thousands of years ago. You never know what you might find out there!
The cache is a small 4 cup camouflaged tupperware container. Inside are a logbook and pencil along with some room for small trade items. Please be sure to rehide the cache like you found it and to refrain from leaving any perishable items.
