There are few who would deny that Willow River State Park is one of the most beautiful natural areas in western Wisconsin. With its miles of trails, scenic lake and breathtaking waterfall, it has something to offer for everyone! I myself got engaged to my wife here, so it holds special significance to me.
Your challenge is simple. In order to log this cache, you must find all of the caches within this state park's boundaries. As of the week of publishing, there are nearly one hundred caches in total. This will be subject to change over time of course, but logging them all is no easy feat. To keep this fair, only the area highlighted in green on your map will count as the park boundary. Any temporarily disabled caches will NOT be required in your final total. UPDATE JULY 2021- to maintain the spirit of the challenge in keeping it still reasonable, the challenge has been fulfilled if all geocaches in the park have been found, with the exception of any adventure Labs or mysteries.
As proof of your accomplishment, simply attach a screen shot (like above) which includes your user name in the corner, OR create a bookmark list of your finds, made public for viewing. Good luck!
The Geocache Notification Form has been submitted to Aaron L. Mason of the Wisconsin DNR. Geocaches placed on Wisconsin Department of Natural Resource managed lands require permission by means of a notification form. Please print out a paper copy of the notification form, fill in all required information, then submit it to the land manager.
