I come it Catalina for water sports, but decided to cache and hike this trip. This will lead you on the uphill path through Hermit Gulch to the Botanical Gardens. It's about a 4 mile loop that begins with about 1.7 miles of uphill...1200' of elevation gain!
You are looking to stay away from the rattlesnakes even though I've never seen one here.
