This cache is located in the Saratoga Spa State Park. The cache was placed to celebrate the successful completion of the 2014 Saratoga-Capital Region Geocache Challenge! A big thank you to the volunteers, and all geocachers who visited our beautiful parks and historic sites in 2014! Our beautiful Upstate New York Parks and Historic Sites can't be beat!
Most of the Saratoga Spa State Park has trail systems for people, that makes access to most areas very easy. This geocache is hidden in an area with a trail system made by Whitetail Deer! The walk to the cache has a short steep area, some passable small swamps, thick brush and tree cover, and lots of deer runs. There are buck rubs, tracks, turkey feathers, and plenty of indication of wildlife everywhere. Enjoy the visit to this patch of woods that does not get foot traffic too often. Proceed slowly and quietly, and perhaps you will see whitetail passing through on one of their deer runs! Happy hunting! Remember to support the 2015 Geocache Challenge!
