Geocache Description:

 Welcome to the lovely church of St Edward the Confessor serving the small village of Shalstone. 

The Church was entirely reconstructed in 1862 by the architect Sir George Gilbert Scott (my very first primary school was named after this great man)  . Some memorial tablets in the church survived the rebuilding and these are dedicated to members of the Purefoy family and their relatives the Jervoise family. Some of the memorial statuary is by Sir Richard Westmacott (remembered chiefly for his work on the Houses of Parliament.

At the parking and entrance you will find "In Memory of..." Take the number of letters from the first name and subtract the number of letters in the last name. This will give you A = 

Now walk up the path to the entrance of the church. how manycomplete diamond/sqares are there on this path? . This will give you B =

There is an incription above the door of this lovely church. Add together the number of letters of the last two words. this will give you C =

Whilst in the entrance find Mr and Mrs S Purefoy (careful here). what are the second and fourth numbers of the second part of the telephone number? This will give you D =     and E =

Now have a walk about the grounds and find the grave of the wife of John Timms who departedthis life 31st March 1908. How many different letters in her first name? This will give you F =

now take those letters and do the following calculation N 52 01.FAC W001 04.DEB  there you shall find your prize
