This is a quick and easy cache, near an intersting historical structure. Easy parking is available on the west side of the highway. There is no need to cross the fence.
We've seen this structure a number of times over the years, but we know nothing about it. We are pretty sure its a pioneer era Lime Kiln, for use in making quicklime, an early form of cement. We're sure it dates to the mid-late 1800's. If anyone knows anything about this structure please tell us, and we'll update the cache page.
