The original multi cache has been on hold for sometime due to the bridge construction on Burnhamthorpe Rd. and the destruction of stage 2. Since the final stage is perfectly fine I decided to relaunch this cache as a traditional.
For those of you who have logged this in the past you can, thank me for the easy new smiley!!
Warning! The city has listed this as a closed trail. So should you choose to approach, please do so at your own risk and watch your footing. The reason for the closure is the washed out trail, leaving exposed roots, rocks and very uneven ground. The creek, water and the forest is still beautiful. That said we are through there weekly and I kind of enjoy the extra terrain difficulty.
On another note, if you proceed from Parking 1 or 2 the ground is pretty flat up to the cache. If you come from parking 3 you will see the washout and uneven ground.
Enjoy the rest of the trail while you are here! If you continue East from the cache you will find yourself heading south towards UofT with more lovely creek and forest and a few Goug caches along the way. If you head West from the cache you will find more creek then trails taking you to Winston Churchill Rd. Lots of wild life can be spotted through these trails so keep your eyes peeled. Todate we have seen squirrels, ducks, frogs, deer and fox and even an owl.
Enjoy and be safe out there!
