How exactly does the cookie exchange work? It's pretty simple. Just bake/buy three (3) dozen cookies and bring 'em to the event! Also, if you make your own cookies and want to share the recipe, please email them to us. I will post a link here after the event has taken place. A few notes:
- Please bring three (3) dozen of the same type. That way, people won't feel like they missed something.
- Place your cookies in Ziploc bags; to be specific, bring eighteen (18) bags containing two (2) cookies each. Label the outside of the bags with your caching alias and cookie name, along the lines of "kerrillb: No-Bake Scotchies."
- The exchange takes place between chefs. All are VERY welcome, but you'll need to steal cookies from the baker's take-home collection.
- We prefer homemade-but store bought is just fine to
- Why only three (3) dozen? Because we don't want people to stress out! If we asked folks to bring one dozen for each attendee and 24 cachers signed up, you'd need to bake a whopping 288 cookies! Better to go with a small number and use any extra time to go caching.
I took the rules of the event we attended (hope thats not a problem) as it worked pretty well we thought. The meeting wont take long, just a quick sign in, sorting, picking, and off we go if you dont want to stay and chat. Hope this works around here! Thanks chargeman for the event last yr!
