Geocache Description:

Hontoria history is lost in the mists of time. The caves called "White Cave" (fragments of Neolithic pottery), "Matalacueva" (Age of Bronze) and "Cave Morciguillos" (remains of Paleolithic), were inhabited by prehistoric inhabitants, as well as several shelters and caves of the Canyon Wolf River.
The so-called Roman fountain has served to supply the inhabitants as well as cattle grazing nearby and still meeting place for neighbors. While his style of construction could gsaleria domed cover dated from Roman times, with the current structure located in a more cronoilogia Late medieval-modern era.
