Parth Galen is the place where the Fellowship gets broken up. Boromir is lost. Pippin and Merry are captured by Orcs. Frodo realizes he can't trust anyone, except Sam, to help him along his way. The Ring is just too powerful and it will consume someone to the point of threatening Frodo with force. Boromir failed the lure of the Ring, and Frodo realizes no one is safe from the calling of the Ring, except himself. Frodo's lack of lust for power is the only thing protecting his heart from treachery and he knows it. So he and Sam escape the group by boat and paddle their way to Rauros.
This hiding spot is actually where Aragorn finds Boromir fallen to an Uruk Hai archer. Pippin and Merry are in the custody of the Uruk Hai, who will eventually deliver them to Fangorn Forest.
We hope you like these caches and the theme. They all should be easy finds and pretty mild terrain. You'll have to hike through some pines to get back to this one, but nothing too challenging. Now, Let's go hunt some Orcs!!
