Gamle Gjervik/Isdal skule, bygt i 1892-93, låg i utmarka midt mellom Nepstad og Åse. Vegen var så vanskeleg at dei enkelte plassar ikkje kunne gå med husdyra eingong. Det seier seg sjølv at det vart mykje fråvær
Old Gjervik / Isdal School, redeveloped in 1892 to 1893, lay in the uplands midway between Nepstad and Åse. The road was so difficult that they easily fit not able to go with the livestock eingong. The win all to himself that it lasted much absence
