Another Sunday. Another New Vamtrix Cache. This week we venture into Illinois to relive one of my old stomping grounds. The building directly northwest of here used to actually be the Mount Greenwood Library many years ago. In 1984, a young 13 year old Vamtrix used to play Dungeons and Dragons every Saturday in this building. Years later, the library moved across the street to the other side of Kedzie.
In the 90's, I started a group of gamers who played Magic the Gathering every Saturday at the library. We gained quite a bit of "fame" in those days, as organized game play was rather new. In it's heyday, we had people come from miles around just to play in these tournaments. They were always free, and everyone always walked away with prizes. To this very day people still ask if games are still played here.
