Geocache Description:

Una cache che vi farà visitare l'esterno del Forte Tron. Consiglio la visita durante le ore giornaliere, seguendo il sentiero che dal parcheggio vi conduce in ordine alle cache "Campo trincerato di Mestre: Forte Tron", "Forte Tron Sud", "Entrata al Forte Tron", "Forte Tron Nord".

La costruzione di Forte Tron iniziò nel 1887 per terminare nel 1890. In seguito, nel 1910-11 il forte fu ristrutturato per adeguarlo alle mutate concezioni difensive, dotandolo di un nuovo armamento.
