This is our very first cache, after caching for quite some time. It's near some spots that are special to us. The cache can most easily be accessed from the intersection of Revere Ave. and Norcross Ave. It's a nice easy walk in from there. There are some thorns about, but no poinson ivy that we saw.
You'll have a small climb to find, but nothing too difficult.
The area itself is part of the right of way for the highway you'll see, and also the path for the (very far overhead) power lines. It's a buffer between the highway and the homes on Norcross.
The highway itself, Route 135, was originally built to link Jones Beach (that part never done), and Oyster Bay to what was to be the Rye-Oyster Bay Bridge. The bridge was never built, but Rte 135 is there, and is one of the major North-South connectors on Long Island.
