Stump Seating Traditional Cache

The search for this cache will take you deeper into the woods using a nexus of trails that heads down and winds around from the Horizontal Trail. You will enter the Nantmeal Village watershed where springs, liitle creeks, emerging ground water, and rain runoff combine and join the Beaver Run further down to flow on to French Creek, the Schuylkill River, the Delaware River, the Delaware Bay, the Atlantic Ocean.... and the world!, 

Hikers can explore the Horizontal Trail and then turn on to the trails that lead here on just head down from the parking area. There is only one parking area! Do not access from other starting points or you will find yourself unwanted on someone else's property. The trails will get you within 60-65 feet of the cache before bushwacking. Some of the minor side trails may be overgrown or blocked by a fallen tree around which you must detour. The main trails are clear. Note that snowfalls are bigger and last longer in Nantmeal than the surroundings, especially in the woods.

You will come to "stump seating" along the trail - 14 seats on the last count, but rapidly decaying! Take a break, get your bearings, and start looking. You are looking a camouflaged plastic jar large enough to hold some swag.
