A small flip-top container, please ensure lid is clipped tight. It has enough room for some small swap items, and has a small FTF prize.
Bring your own pen, pencil or sharp crayon.
PLEASE don't park on the main road, you are likely to get hit by local speedsters swooping down the hill!!
Tucked away in a quiet suburban park, this cache takes up where "Park and Play #7 - Stephens" left off, as it was muggled fairly quickly.
It is rumoured that this park was previously the site for a small shack built by Jock Macklin, a hard-living, hard-drinking man who sailed up the Coomera river and holed his craft on the rocky foreshore. As times were hard, Joch built the hut from his ship and made a living by grave-digging at the local Siganto graveyard at the top of the hill on Stephens Street, another good place for a treasure hunt. Joch met a young lady and, as these things happen, she became pregnant with baby John. Shortly after the birth, a massive storm swept away the hut and, sadly, the blind-drunk Joch, while wife and baby escaped to safety by jumping a nearby fence and making for higher ground. Baby John grew up to the tale of Joch haunting the Coomera river, but in his teens decided to remove himself from the story and changed his name by deed-poll to (here the rumours get very uncertain) something like Crouchman, and lived a happy and prosperous life, discovering Geocaching in his mature years. The park has a small set of swings and the usual climbing gear, and the local kids often set up a "Tarzan Swing" on a nearby tree, so DON'T BE SEEN BY THEM as we think the youths got to the last cache by watching an incautious GC'er. Please try not to leave any trail marks, difficult with this spot! The cache is adjacent to private property and the property owner is aware of it and has given their permission for it.
It is our first hide so we will be paying close attention. Have fun
There was a bit of a fight for FTF but congrats go to DChanell who came up with the goods!
