Geocache Description:

The Perrenoud - Peeling Bark Cache is located on relatively flat terrain, but the hike to the cache site involves travel over deadfall, small bogs (no problem in the winter), and the odd small hill. Caution is advised at all times on this off-trail adventure.

The Perrenoud - Peeling Bark Cache is an authentic regular sized square LnL container with the usual logbook, pencils and caching note.

Come on out and enjoy this lesser known park on one of the back roads off the Grand Valley Road west of Highway 22. All of the roads leading to the park are paved and well maintained year round. Enjoy!

Park History

In 1980, George Emil Perrenoud donated this land to the Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation for the purpose of a wilderness park for the benefit of the residents of the province of Alberta.
