Day Nine

Listen you louser !

There's enough pandemonium in this place night and day without nine drummers drumming, while the eight flaming maids-a-milking are beating my poor, old alcoholic mother out of her own kitchen and gobbling everything in sight.

I'm warning you, you're making an enemy of me.

Gobnait

(Christmas Countdown, 1982)

The song 'Twelve Days of Christmas' is an English Christmas carol first published in 1780 in England.

The standard tune now associated with the song is derived from a 1909 arrangement of a traditional folk melody by English composer Frederic Austin.

In 1982, actor Frank Kelly released a single 'Christmas Countdown', which was a comedy song based on the well-known carol. The song reached number 8 in the Irish charts.
