HALCOMBE
Halcombe Farm is often thought to be in Piddinghoe but is just in Peacehaven. The farm was recorded in ancient records of the parish. It is now a modern farm house. It once was part of Hoddern Farm, and there is an old reference in the Doomsday book of 1086 about Harpingdean that might well be the origin of the name.
This micro is what should be a quick “cache and dash”. I have deliberately not mentioned what type of micro, because it would make it far too easy if I did, and would be most grateful if no mention was made of the type in your log entries.
Since joining Geocaching.com at the beginning of this year,I have had so much pleasure and fun in finding other peoples caches,and now want to pass some of that pleasure onto others with this my second cache.
