Geocache Description:

PLEASE make sure that the lid snaps closed and that the container is replaced exactly as found as some geocaches may be easy to spot by muggles if not replaced properly.

**** Be aware as there is lots of poison ivy throughout the trails****

Please stay on the marked trails as you travel from cache to cache.

This geocache is a micro container located in Goodrich-Loomis Conservation Area on the North View Trail. The cache is located close to the trail so no need to venture far off of it. It should be a fairly easy find and is meant to take you around the beautiful nature trails. Enjoy. :)  Please take extra care with this geocache as it is also being used by school children to introduce them to the wonderful world of geocaching.   :)

This geocache is located on a tamarack tree. Other common names are Eastern Larch, American Larch, Red Larch, Black Larch, takmahak and Hackmatack.  The word tamarack is the Algonquin name for the species and means "wood used for snowshoes".Though the tamarack tree resembles other evergreens, it is actually a deciduous conifer, meaning that it sheds its needles every autumn. The needles turn a beautiful golden colour before falling off.  Identified when in leaf by bundles of greater than five needles,  and in winter by warty knobby looking twigs.
