Perustradi Ranta-Toppilan ryteikössä. A basic traditional one in the woods of Ranta-toppila.
Toppilassa on ollut runsaasti teollisuutta jo 1800-luvun puolelta alkaen. Alueella toimi mm. J. W. Snellmanin höyrysaha sekä Toppilan selluloosatehdas. Teollinen toiminta alueella hiipui 1900-luvun loppupuolella ja Toppilan sellutehdas suljettiin vuonna 1985.Nykyään Ranta-Toppilan metsiköistä löytyy jälkiä menneestä teollisesta toiminnasta. Oulun uudessa yleiskaavassa alue on varattu kerrostalorakentamiseen. Kätkön lähistöltä löytyy Toppila-yhtiön 1961 rakentaman venevajan perustukset.
Huom! Nosta kätkö kokonaan esiin ennen avaamista, älä käytä voimaa ja sulje huolella.
Toppila has been heavily industrialized since the 19th century. In the area operated etc. J. W. Snellman steam sawmill and the Toppila pulp mill. Industrial activity waned in the latter half of 20th century and the Toppila pulp mill was closed in 1985. The woods of Ranta-Toppila now hold many signs of old industrial activity. In the new Oulu city land use plan the area is reserved for apartment buildings. Near the cache you can find foundations of a boat shed built by the Toppila company in 1961.
Note! Take the cache fully out before opening, don't use too much force and close with care.
