Geocache Description:

When I first came to this park, I discovered an area that immediately reminded me of the lagoon on Gilligan's Island.  Gilligan's antics after the botched "three hour tour" provided many hours of entertainment during my childhood and I cannot help but flash back to those days when I come here during the summer months.

Park Regulations prohibit geocaching between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

I knew at some point, we would have a cache in this area.  During the summer months, this spot has many similarities to the Lagoon.  However, due to the extremely high waters this lake is known to have during the spring, I was forced to make my first multi-cache to prevent the cache from floating away.

Stage one will take you to "Gilligan's Island."  You will need to search for the coordinates Gilligan left for his treasure.  Leave a comment and tell me if you don't feel a bit like the you're there with the gang.

Once you've found the treasure, you will be relatively close to the main park road.  Walk to it and turn right for a quick juant back to your vehicle.

Historical Note: "Gilligan" Bob Denver, retired in Princeton West Virginia with with his wife. They started a radio station (WGAG - "Little Buddy Radio" which his wife still operates. Mr. Denver passed away September 2, 2005 at age 70.

NOTE:  When the lake is above summer pool, you will be unable to search for stage one as it will be under water.  When this happens, leave this cache for another day.
