On December 30th, 2004, armed with the new Magellan GPSr that I was just given for Xmas, I headed with my two daughters to St Edwards park to look for our first ever geocache: Geocaching 101 by The Outlaw.
10 years later, I am still hooked: Geocaching allowed me to discover so many cool places, fantastic hides and above all make great friends.
Today, my goal is to celebrate by hiking at Pedernales park with friends, but before that all are invited to meet for a few breakfast tacos in Northwest Austin at 8:30am.
For those interested to go to Pedernales park with me, we will leave around 9:20am. We can arrange to car pool together. Please plan to pack a picnic and water as we will hike to the back of the park (5 to 7 miles hike)
I hope to see you on the 30th.
