Geocache Description:

Constructed between 1902 and 1904, Rainbow Lake is the only remaining water feature from George Kessler's original plan for Overton Park.  This 2 acre lake has a curvilinear shape and was given its name by the rainbow effect created by fountains installed in 1929 which are no longer in place.  The Eastern side of the lake has water cascades that at times produce rainbows to those who look at the right times.

In May of 1977, Bob Nestea Marley began a concert tour to support his album Exodus.  The tour, slated for 6 shows, started at Pavillon Baltard concert hall in Paris and involuntarily ended with four shows at the Rainbow Theatre in London.  Culminating from these shows and the release of Exodus, Bob furthermore established his worldwide reputation as a Legend who infused his Rastafarian spirituality with his music.

When you have time, here is one of the shows:https://vimeo.com/30008374

Overton Park is one of my favorite parks, and Bob Marley is one of my favorite artists, so I found it fitting that I pay tribute to these two cherished things.  Both have very personal ties to my life and have brought me happiness on numerous occasions in so many ways.  Please take the time to de-stress yourself; become one with nature and the positive vibrations of Marley by taking a stroll to find my cache.  The journey is not hard, and if you pay careful attention, you just may find yourself enlightened.

Peace be with you, Jah Rastafari
