Geocache Description:

A nice and easy cache when visiting the Magellenic Penguins at Yorke Bay and Gypsy Cove, a few miles out of Stanley. There is a stony path that takes you around the penguin colony and the views are stunning. Yorke Bay is inaccessible due to Mines, but these areas are well fenced off.  Take care to keep at least 6m from wildlife. Beware of muggles!

This is a good cache for families as it is a short walk from the car park (which is a benefit when the wind is howling!) and there is plenty to see along the way. The cache is an ammo box, so hopefully it won't be blown away. The stony path is quite rough so only suitable for ATV wheelchairs/pushchairs. There are 3 viewing decks aong the trail which are great places to sit and watch these entertaining birds going about their business. Penguins are seen here throught the austral summer and other wildlife can be seen year around.
