You will enjoy this hunt!
You will get double the enjoyment coming to find this cache! There is a covered bridge in Marion County, Iowa?? Who knew? Beautiful countryside and a neat experience! The bridge is called the Hammond Bridge and was constructed in or around 1870 to connect the town of Attica to the town of Eldorado over the North Cedar Creek. Attica had a thriving pottery induustry and the town of Eldorado was a small coal town. Eldorado no longer exists. The covered bridge was renovated in 2003, and is listed on the National Register of Historical places. Vandals have done their damage by spray painting graffiti on the inside...which is sad. Still a beauty in its own right though! Enjoy the countryside ...it is a pretty desolate area!!
