Many German words have "migrated" into the Slovene language. Technology and engineering have provided a lot of these so called Germanisms or loan words (e.g. šporhet from Sparherd or šaltunga from Schaltung). Other Slovene lexical Germanisms come from Austrian German. Often they are related to food and cooking (e.g. štrudl from Strudel or nagelj from Gewürznagel).
To receive the set of Northern (N46 05.ABC) and Eastern (E014 24.DEF) coordinates for the physical stage 1, you have to solve the provided crosswords (see related web page at the top or link "Švabščina" below which opens in a new window) and translate the Slovene loan words back into proper German. Pay attention to the correct spelling.
Švabščina
Don't worry! This mystery cache is not that mysterious at all. Once you have solved the not so difficult crosswords, it turns into a multi-cache. The solutions of "Švabščina" have already given you the coordinates of stage 1.
When you are at stage 1, search for a big rock under a tree with 3 trunks. Some of you will probably have a "Krneki 2 Déjà vu" when they hold the object in their hands.
PS: Near stage 2 you will see a green metal container. Definitely no place for vegans and animal welfare activists. Animals do get slaughtered there. And that regularly. You can smell it and see it. But I assure you that no animals were harmed in the process of hiding this geocache.
If you want to know what I mean, take a look at the disturbing picture that I took not far from stage 2 (see attached picture "Blood and Bones in Snow"). But I must warn you. The foto is very explicit and might deter you from eating Kranjska klobasa (Carnolian bratwurst) or divjačinski golaš (game stew), at least for a couple of hours.
By the way, Krainer (for Kranjska klobasa) is a word that migrated the other way around. From Slovene into Austrian or Southern German.
